What is a certificate of inspection? A certificate of inspection, or certification inspection, is the actual NIST document that is provided with NIST certified equipment. There are other terms used in the industry, such as inspection certification or inspection certificate. Ask for clarification, but most of the time they are talking about the NIST Certification for the equipment being used on the job.
