Durometer Shore Hardness Devices

What are PosiTector Durometer Shore Hardness Devices?

In the coating industry, Durometers are used to determine if the coating is fully cured.

What are the features of PosiTector Durometer Shore Hardness Devices?

Provides a digital readout of Shore A or D hardness (Depending on the probe being used) from 1 to 100

How do the PosiTector Durometer Shore Hardness Devices work?

There are several types of durometers.  Different durometers have different shaped tips and different springs determined by ASTM.  Because of this, you generally cannot equate values derived from different types of durometers.  You also need to make sure you have enough coting that the instrument is measuring the hardness of the coating and not the hardness of the metal.

Can the PosiTector Durometer Shore Hardness Devices measure the hardness of metals?

Durometers are not made to measure metal hardness.

Do you need training to operate PosiTector Durometer Shore Hardness Devices?

While generally simple to operate, make sure you follow the appropriate standards.

What are the advantages of using PosiTector Durometer Shore Hardness Devices?

Provides a digital readout of Shore A or D hardness (Depending on the probe being used) from 1 to 100
